Phenomenal X Teaser: In the Spotlight

Great news! Phenomenal X is coming along splendidly and I am completely in love with him. He may just be my baddest, bad-boy to date.There's just something about him that pulls me in. I can't wait to publish this one and share him with all of you! Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks I'll have a release date for you. My goal release month is March 2014!

That being said, I know it's been a while since I posted a Phenomenal X teaser, so I guess I'm due to share a little. Hehe

“Don’t worry, Anna. I’ll be fine,” Xavier says with a growl.

“Not going out there like this—angry. Forget what he said. He’s not worth it!” I plead with him, attempting to calm him down.

He shakes his head, and water drips from the tips of his hair onto his bare shoulders. “When are you going to finally hear me? You’re everything to me. I’d trade my very soul to protect you. You’re worth it. I’ll never let anyone hurt you, ever, and no one is going to take you away from me. No. One.”

My heart squeezes in my chest. I can’t remember the last time anyone has ever cared about me this much. He’s trying to save me, I know, but all I worry about is saving him from himself—his own self destruction. I run my fingers along side his scruffy cheek. “Please. Don’t do this. Don’t throw everything away for me.”

He flexes his jaw while pure intensity shines in his blue eyes. “I have too. This ends now, Anna.”

The trademark entrance song, X Gon’ Give It To Ya, blares throughout the arena and my breath catches. If he goes out there like this, it won’t be good. I know it, and he knows it. Xavier’s temper is uncontrollable. Pushing him into the ring with Assassin now will not end well. This could ruin everything he’s worked for. I have to try and stop him. I refuse to be the cause of his undoing. “Please. Don’t.”

I know it’s a lame attempted, but just begging him to not do anything stupid is the only thing I can think of. It’s not like I can overpower him and force him to stay with me. 

He cradles my face in his large hands. “It’s too late. The show has to go on. You know that.”

Xavier crashes his lips into mine quickly before pulling away and heading for the black curtain to give the fans the showdown they crave. The moment he steps into the spotlight, the roof on the building nearly blows off the place with the force of the crowd’s screams. I turn towards the monitor and stare, mesmerized by the pure determination on his face. I swallow hard as nervous energy flows through my body. It’s like a train wreck. I shouldn’t watch, but I can’t tear my eyes away.

Friday Fun Snip from Rock the Heart

Because I saw an amazingly sexy picture of Adam Levine, I had to give you guys a snip from ROCK THE HEART that kind of goes along with it. He is my inspiration for Noel Falcon, after all.  (Snip Edited for language.)

 

 

Aubrey giggles uncontrollably as we rush from room to room throwing the red doors wide open in search of Noel Falcon. A majority of the rooms are either locked or empty, but I have the feeling if we keep this up much longer we are going to get thrown out of this place.

The last room we come to has music blasting on the other side of the red door. Aubrey twists the handle, throws open the door, and shouts, “Booyah!” at the top of her lungs, causing me to laugh so hard I double over.

 “Oh, um, sorry,” Aubrey says while yanking on my arm.

I stand up straight, trying to curve my giggles, and stare right into the eyes of Noel Falcon. The smile drops completely off my face.

Two topless women press against him, one on each side, and his arms wrap around them. A slow, lazy grin spreads across his face, and I suddenly feel the urge to hurl.

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t my old pal, Lanie,” Noel says. “Please, by all means, come in and join our little private party. I was going to take it easy tonight and settle for just these two, but you and your friend are more than welcome to join in. The more the merrier, right ladies?”

The blonds giggle and then run their hands up and down his chiseled chest while they lean in and kiss each other.

He continues smiling at me, loving that he’s paying me back ten fold right now. I shake my head in disgust. “You’re a real piece of s***, you know that? Come on, Aubrey.”

Aubrey grabs my shoulders, holding me in place. “Lanie, we can’t. What about our jobs? We have to talk to him.”

I shake my head and glance at Noel. “F*** the job. I’ll pass.”

Sexy Sunday Snip From ROCK THE HEART

Here's a little snip from ROCK THE HEART to get you guys pumped up for some of the sexy that's in this novel. That Noel Falcon is such a naughty, naughty boy!

We step inside the bedroom, and I’m surprised that it’s very tidy. The queen size bed takes up most of the room, but there’s some storage drawers built into the walls and under the bed for clothes.

“Put your clothes wherever you can find room. I know it’s tight in here, but it’s better than sleeping in the little fox holes. They can make anyone feel claustrophobic.” He shuts the door, trapping us inside the bedroom, and wraps his arms around me. “Now that I have you all to myself, let me give you a proper hello.”

I place my hand against his chest. “This isn’t how it’s going to work, Noel. I didn’t agree to this deal to be your private sex slave.”

He backs me against the door and places a hand on either side of me, effectively trapping me. My arm feels like jell-o as I try to hold him back. I swallow hard as he leans in and traces his nose along the length of my jaw line. “Sex Slave? Hmmmmm. I kind of like the sound of that.”

I shove him back a little and shake my head. “Don’t get any ideas. That isn’t happening. I came here for business, remember?”

He threads his fingers into my hair. “I don’t see why we can’t mix a little pleasure in too. Don’t you remember how hot we were together, Lane? God.” He takes in a quick breath through clenched teeth and runs his hand down my side, “The things I can do to your body if you’d let me.”

Teaser Tuesday: Meet Noel Falcon from ROCK THE HEART

“Give it up for BLACK FALCON!” the rocker screams and my insides jitter. I’m not sure why I’m nervous. It’s not like he’ll even remember me. He sees tons of women every night, and after awhile, faces probably all start to look the same to him

            My gaze instantly glues to the stage. The lead singer, Noel Falcon, enters from the right and looks just like I remember him—tall and lean with shaggy, dark-brown hair. He’s not the goofy boy I knew anymore. The past four years have been good to him. Really good. He wears twenty-two well. The dark scruff on his jaw line brings out the blue in his eyes, and for a second, I kick myself for the night we broke up.

            Noel stops center stage and smiles as he takes in the arena packed with his adoring fans. He’s close. I can practically reach out and trace the intricate tattoos on his arm if I want to. The spotlight beams down on him, and he points a finger out to the throngs of people in the upper deck. The crowd goes nuts, but I stand there simply awestruck. Not because Noel Falcon, one of the hottest rockers on the planet is five feet in front of me, but because it’s Noel Falcon, the first boy I ever loved. He used to be my best friend. The guy I thought at one time was my forever.

            Noel pulls the microphone off the stand. “Wow!” He steps back and continues smiling as he looks around. He looks unbelievably hot in his jeans and tight, black t-shirt. “I can’t tell you how great it feels to be back in my old stomping grounds. I grew up not far from here, so tonight—”

            “I LOVE YOU NOEL!” shouts the lady behind me again, practically right in my ear.

            Noel looks down and makes eye contact with me. Surprise registers on his face, and he pauses for a brief second even though it feels like an eternity. “So tonight—” he says, still staring at me. “—is a very special night. It gives me a chance to revisit my past. See people I haven’t seen since high school.” Noel’s gaze leaves me, and he glances back out toward the crowd. “Are you guys ready to rock?”
